Jeremiah 29:13 - You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

There are ways we each sense God should be more seriously sought.

Some of these ways are very new in the last few days. Some of them are years old.

We’ve put them off and ignored the subtle promptings that are likely from God himself.

We can struggle to do even the simplest of things, like little kids struggle to pick up even three toys.

We’re like the disciples in the Garden when Jesus asked them to pray with himself:

Matthew 26:40 - Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter.

We think, “Pray for one hour!?!? I can barely stay focused to pray for one minute!

Oh, little heart! See what you’re missing! This isn’t about discipline. This is about the promise above!

Jeremiah 29:13 - You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

The prompting we feel may well be toward the things that give more of our heart to God.

And the more we seek him with our whole hearts, the more we will find him! Our good is in God. Our obedience brings us into the path of blessing and wholeness.

May he call us homeward from our weakness and wandering! And may we follow where he leads us - in the simple and the hard.
