Acts 9:4 - “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?”

How is it that Jesus says he is being persecuted when it’s his followers Saul is putting to death, imprisoning, harassing, and breaking down?

Followers of The Way put our faith in Jesus. And when we put our faith in him, we are spiritually joined to him:

1 Corinthians 6:15 - Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ?

The phrase “in Christ” appears 89 times in the New Testament:

Romans 8:1 - There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

We are one with God. This is a great mystery.

John 17:21 - just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us

When Jesus says, “Why are you persecuting me?” he feels the persecution because we are in him.

We’re in the Ultimate Ark.

May God unfold these mysteries to our hearts and minds. May it move us to wonder and deep gratefulness and worship.

Everybody looks for places to belong. Christ calls, “You belong here - as a part of me. Under my umbrella, my tent, my wings, my kingdom.”

John 15:4 (NIV) - “Remain in me, as I also remain in you.”
