Matthew 28:17 - And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted.

This is the resurrected Jesus standing with people who had known him three years. And yet “some doubted.”

The doubts we have today must surely be natural. May he answer our doubts where it’s possible.

In another place, when Thomas doubted and then believed:

John 20:29 - Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

And who is the one that can believe?

John 6:44 - No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

May God continue to call us further into the light!

Psalm 107:14–15 - He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and burst their bonds apart. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man!

May he allow us to see him more truly and be overtaken with how great he is. And may that knowledge cause us to gather more people to him:

1 Peter 2:9 - that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Matthew 28:19 - Go therefore and make disciples of all nations
